Course Overview

This nationally recognised Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course builds on standard first aid skills and prepares you to respond to high-risk, complex medical emergencies where advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy may be required. Training is delivered in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines and the First Aid Code of Practice. Through practical, scenario-based training, you'll learn how to use and maintain specialised resuscitation equipment, provide oxygen safely, and manage life-threatening conditions until emergency services arrive. This course suits people working in environments where oxygen equipment is available or where an elevated level of emergency response is required.

Prerequisites

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid must be completed with or prior to this unit (HLTAID003 is not equivalent and cannot be accepted)
  • Ability to perform 2 minutes of CPR on the floor
  • Access to a device with internet for the pre-course online component

Certificate

Your nationally recognised digital Statement of Attainment for HLTAID015 is issued upon successful completion, typically within 24 hours via email.

Renewal

Advanced Resuscitation certification has an industry-recommended renewal period of 12 months, in line with CPR renewal requirements.
